A historic first for Welsh whisky. Created in exclusive collaboration between Mountain Mead, and Wales Whisky Fest, this landmark release showcases a pioneering triple-finish maturation.
Beginning with a Penderyn first-fill bourbon cask single malt, the spirit was transferred into an ex-Madeira octave cask previously used to mature sweet Welsh mead for six months. Left to mature right up until one week prior to the festival, the wood imparts extraordinary depth, sweetness, and complexity.
Nose & Palate: Decadent layers of creamy vanilla, raw Welsh honey, rich fruit cake, and warming festive spices.
Finish: Long, sweet, and complex with lingering orchard fruit, toasted oak, and spiced honey notes.
